Are you a believer that cats have nine lives?

I mean… if surviving dramatic leaps off bookshelves, mysteriously vanishing for days, and reappearing with zero explanation doesn’t count as having extra lives, I don’t know what does.

Cats might not have a literal nine lives, but they sure act like they’ve got a few spares tucked away. Between their uncanny reflexes and their “I meant to do that” attitude, they’re basically magical.

Yeah, they definitely put themselves into positions where they risk their lives a lot, or at least risk injury, but their bodies are made to handle so much more than we give them credit for, and they show us up every time they leap, jump, pounce and zoom around the house. Nine lives is a pretty safe bet, lol.

Over the years of having cats as pets, I have seen them do some crazy things that would have otherwise caused serious injury or even death and yet they get up and walk off like nothing happened.
